Following a year long expedition across America to find the best burgers in the USA, restaurateur David Morton and 5-times James Beard-nominated Chef Michael Kornick opened the first DMK Burger Bar in 2009.  Proudly serving 100% grass-fed beef patties, Colorado lamb, and all natural turkey and veggie burgers paired with its legendary artisnal buns, DMK Burger Bar has been featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, awarded Best Fries in Chicago by Chicago Magazine, named the Best Veggie Burger in Chicago by the Chicago Tribune, named one of the 10 Best Burgers In America by Fox News, highlighted as one the 5 Best New Burger Concepts in America by Bon Appetit, and named Chicago’s Most Iconic Burger by Eater.  In 2017 franchise guru David Grossman joined David and Michael to launch DMK Burger Bar’s Franchise Program to take Chicago’s best burgers, fries and shakes global.
